Bengal gram(roasted chana dal)1/4cup
Green chilies 4-5
Ginger(adark)1/4 inch
Seasame seeds 1/2 tbsp
Curry leaves(kadi patta)10-12
Oil 1-2 tsp
A pinch of asafoetida
Salt and water


Heat the oil in pan.Fry the peanuts for 3-4 minutes.
Add curry leaves and fry it also.
And lastly, fry the bengal gram,seasame seeds asafoetida for a 1 minute(only light brown).
Cool the mixture..
Now add in a grinder ginger,green chilies,salt and above fried mixture.
Pour the water in a grinder and grind the mixture of required consistencies.
Serve the chutney with dosa, idli,uttapam and pakoras.
