Virat Kohli is a right-handed batsman in Indian cricket team who was born on 5th November 1988 into a Punjabi family in Delhi. He is one of the best batsman and greatest run chase in Indian Cricket Team. In Indian Premier League, Virat plays for Royal Challenger Bangalore and has been the team caption since 2013. Before making his debut in cricket in 2006, Virat represents the city’s cricket team at various age group levels. Virat was the caption of India in Under 19s in 2008, Under 19 World Cup in Malaysia and after few months Virat made his ODI debut for India against Sri Lanka at the age of 19.

In 2012, Virat Kohli was appointed as a Vice Caption of ODI team and handed over test captaincy following MS Dhoni’s Test retirement in 2014.

Virat Kohli has achieved ICC ODI Player of the year in 2012 and BCCI International cricketer of the year for the 2011-2012, 2014-2015 sessions.

For his achievement in International Cricket, Virat Kohli was honored with Arjuna Award in 2013.

After Dhoni Stepped Down from the Captaincy, Kohli became the limited over caption in early 2017.

Kohli says that his father supports him in cricket in childhood. According to Virat, “ My father always supported me. He drove me to practice every day. I miss his presence sometime”.
